Bu yıl 96. kez düzenlenecek Oscar ödülleri için adaylar belirlendi. 10 Mart 2024'te gerçekleşecek ödül töreni ile sahiplerini bulacak Oscar Ödülleri için bu yıl bir ilk gerçekleşti ve Christopher Nolan imzalı ''Oppenheimer'' 13 dalda Oscar ödülleri için aday gösterilerek en fazla adaylık kazanan film olma ünvanına sahip oldu. Yorgos Lanthimos’un ''Poor Things'' filmi 11 dalda, Martin Scorsese'nin ''Killers of the Flower Moon'' filmi 10 dalda aday gösterilerek Oppenheimer'ın arkasından geliyor. Barbie ise 8 dalda aday gösterildi.

Dolby Theatre'da gerçekleşek görkemli Ödül töreninin sunuculuğunu ise yine ünlü talk şov sunucusu Jimmy Kimmel yapacak.
